Increasing customer spend is often faster and more profitable than acquiring new customers. The Modisoft Average Order Value (AOV) Growth Calculator helps retailers and restaurants estimate how small increases in transaction value can impact monthly and annual revenue.
By entering your average ticket size, daily transactions, upsell amount, success rate, and discount percentage, you can project revenue growth opportunities from upselling, cross-selling, and promotional strategies.
How is Average Order Value Growth calculated?
The Average Order Value (AOV) Growth Calculator estimates how much additional revenue your store could generate if more customers added one extra item to their purchase.
First, the calculator uses your Average Ticket Size, Daily Transactions, and Days Operating Per Week to Calculate your current monthly revenue.
Next, it estimates the impact of an upselling strategy. For example, if customers typically purchase a drink, snack, lighter, batteries, lottery ticket, or another impulse item at checkout, the calculator uses the value of that add-on purchase as the Target Upsell Amount.
The Upsell Success Rate represents the percentage of customers you believe will accept that offer. For example, if 10 out of every 100 customers purchase the suggested add-on, your Upsell Success Ratewould be 10%.
If the add-on item is offered as part of a special promotion or bundle, you can enter the Promotional Discount (%) to account for any reduction in price.
Using these inputs, the calculator estimates:
- Current Monthly Revenue
- Projected Monthly Revenue
- Monthly Revenue Increase
- Additional Annual Revenue
- Opportunity Growth Impact Indicator
The goal is not to predict exact sales. Instead, it helps retailers see how small increases in customer spend can generate meaningful revenue growth across hundreds or thousands of transactions.
When to use the Manual Order Processing Cost & Time Calculator:
Use this calculator to understand how increasing average order value, basket value, and transaction value can impact overall store revenue without increasing customer traffic.

At some point, every multi-store retailer runs into the same situation: one location runs out of a product that sells daily, while another location holds extra stock that hasn’t moved in weeks. Nothing is technically wrong because inventory exists and demand exists, but they are not aligned.

How to Manage Multiple Restaurant Locations with Ease, Growth is supposed to give you more freedom. But for many restaurant owners, opening a second or third location does the opposite.
If you run a convenience store, this is your year to shine. The past 12 months proved that c‑stores are more than just a place for impulse snacks and quick fuel. When a store feels like a small neighborhood café backed by smart, simple technology, shoppers reward it with bigger baskets and more repeat visits.
Fuel alone is no longer enough to consistently grow traffic or basket size. While gas still brings cars onto the lot, the stores seeing real momentum are those finding stronger reasons for customers to walk inside and come back more often.
As a retailer, one of the biggest challenges you face is consistently managing inventory. For many, it’s one of the most boring tasks of the day. But it’s also one of the few levers that touches every part of your operation.
